Seeking Part-Time Team Memberto Help Craft Artisan Cocktail Cherries

Orasella (www.orasella.com) is a rapidly-growing food business founded upon the belief that the American history of the maraschino cherry deserves to be rewritten. We partner with some of the best craft cocktail bars in Seattle to ensure that your cocktail cherry is as delicious as the cocktail itself. If you’ve ever been to Rob Roy, E. Smith Mercantile, Barnacle, Brimmer & Heeltap or Monsoon, it’s most likely you’ve tasted one of our cherries. We are looking for a hard-working, detailed-oriented team member to work with us summer 2017 on our handcrafted product. No experience required beyond a stellar work ethic and a passion for creating artisan food products.

Duties

We believe in a product crafted by hand. Many of your future job duties will be familiar if you’ve ever made preserves or canned summer tomatoes.  Job functions include: washing cherries, preparing the canning jars, running our custom cherry pitting machine, packing jars with fresh cherries, and labeling the jars.

Hours Worked

The Washington State cherry harvest will run approximately June 23rd through July 23rd. We are looking for one employee to work four hours a day Thursday through Monday for approximately the month of the cherry harvest. We will be in the kitchen from 8am-10pm and can be flexible on chosen hours.
